Alex Haidas, the founder of Bluewall Capital Ltd, brings over 25 years' experience in alternative investments, investment banking and financial advisory. He has developed an extensive network of relationships with a wide range of operating companies and investors, providing original solutions on both asset and liability sides and has a track record of developing businesses both in bulge bracket investment banks as well as in alternative asset management companies. He has served as CFO, investor, capital raiser and board member of various private companies.
Alex also co-founded Blue Wall Shipping Limited, a company with owned and operated a fleet of Dry Bulk vessels. The company was launched with strong backing from institutional investors to take advantage of the dislocation in the shipping market.
He was previously a portfolio manager for the special situations fund and in charge of business development at Credaris, a leading European based credit specialist asset manager. Alex previously led teams structuring and marketing a broad range of cash, synthetic and hybrid credit products at JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank.
Alex obtained Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science Engineering and in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993 and was awarded an MBA from The Wharton School in 1998. Alex currently serves on the Board of Trustees at the University of Pennsylvania, the Board of Advisors at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and he chairs the Penn United Kingdom Europe Leadership Committee. Alex enjoys making angel investments in start-up companies.
